Charleston, South Carolina

The claim: Naval Reserve & Air Force base, restricted area on naval base.

What it really is: The actual name of it is called Joint Base Charleston, and there is no Naval Reserve there.

Most military bases have restricted areas not open to the public. This one would be no exception, especially considering that the Air Mobility Command (AMC), the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) Southern Division, and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) are all located there.
